Our big dream: total restoration and legacy
My big dream for every woman at True Life is more than just a career or a place to stay—it is the total restoration of her life and her legacy. Having walked the path from abuse, incarceration, and the heartbreak of DCS to over 10 years of sobriety, I know that true success is about reclaiming your worth and your family. My goal is for our residents to leave as self-sufficient professionals who have broken the cycles of the past for good. I hope to see them move from survival to thriving, becoming the stable, empowered pillars their families and our community need. What truly sets True Life apart is that our leadership is rooted in lived experience. I am not just a founder; I am someone who has walked the exact path of the women we serve. Having navigated incarceration, addiction, and the CPS system to achieve over 10 years of sobriety, I provide a roadmap that is based on real-world success. Because I have been a resident in a transitional home myself, I have built a culture of radical empathy and zero judgment. At True Life, our residents find more than just a program; they find a mentor who understands their hurdles and a community that proves a complete life transformation is possible. 🦋🦋
Our guiding principles
Empowerment through skill: We believe financial independence is the ultimate path to freedom. Through the True Life Academy located right inside our home, we provide on-site training for high-demand careers like CDL and CNA. We don't just offer a place to stay; we offer a life-changing education that ensures our residents leave with a career and a future.
Leadership from experience: We believe in the power of lived experience. Our program is led by those who have successfully navigated the same hurdles our residents face. With over 10 years of proven sobriety and a deep understanding of the journey through incarceration and the CPS system, we provide a roadmap that works.
